A Website for all Grosskopfs or Großkopfs

We are a branch of the Grosskopf family who trace our roots to Amlingstadt Germany. Amlingstadt is a small village outside of Bamberg. The first of our relatives to arrive in America was Johann Friedrich Grosskopf who came here sometime in the 1860s. He and Elizabeth Knaus were married in Jackson Michigan. Later they moved their family to Emmet County. Many of our Grosskopf relatives still live in the Midwest..  

We hail from Petoskey Michigan and have a reunion every two years.
